Knots Necklace

A piece made for the ‘Textiles: Made in Huddersfield’ exhibition, part of the Cultures of Place festival in Huddersfield.

3500 hand-tied paper yarn knots dipped in melted wax crayon.

The colours of the wax on each knot refer to the individual pixels in a photograph of sheep in a Yorkshire landscape.
